Hongming Cai is a professor with school of Software,Shanghai JiaoTong University. He received his BS degree, MS degree, Ph.D.degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China in 1996, 1999 and2002, respectively. He served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the ComputerScience and Technology Department of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Chinaduring the period of 2002 to 2004. And he served as a visiting professor at theBusiness Information Technology Institute of University of Mannheim, Germanyduring the period of 2008 to 2009. The visiting scholarship was appointed andsponsored by Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation, Germany. In 2008,he won the scholarship of German Alfreid Krupp von Bohlen und HalbachFoundation. He is rewarded as a “National outstanding scientific andtechnological workers” by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST)in 2012.

Now he is an associate dean ofSchool of Software, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He is a standingdirector of China Graphics Society, a senior member of ACM/IEEE, and a seniormember of China Computer Federation. His research interests focus on modelling,construction and optimization on information systems, which applyingmodel-driven architecture and sematic data disposing techniques on alarge-scale system with complex, this heterogeneous, and dynamic features. AndHe has won Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, China UniversityScience and Technology Progress Award, China University Science Award in the pastyears. He has over 150-refereed publications in books, journals, conferenceproceedings, two of the journal paper has been selected as ESI high citedpaper.
